At times my work explores the burdens, expectations, and stigmas that society persists in assigning to women. Other times, it explores death, grief, our relationships with ourselves, and with the mothers in our lives. Animals make frequent appearances, symbols of a similar societal paradox–beings that fascinate, comfort, and inspire or property to control, manipulate, and desire.
Sometimes my expression is figurative, other times abstract. It is whatever form the stories I write take as they escape the confines of the written word.
No matter the expression or medium, each of my pieces tells a story, inviting viewers to draw from their personal experience to craft their own narratives.
