At times my work explores the burdens, expectations, and stigmas that society persists in assigning to women. Animals make frequent appearances, symbols of a similar societal paradox–beings that fascinate, comfort, and inspire or property to control, manipulate, and desire. Other times, my pieces explore death, grief, our relationships with ourselves, and with the mothers in our lives.

 

Sometimes my expression is figurative, other times abstract. It is whatever forms the stories in my mind take. No matter the expression or medium, each of my pieces invites viewers to draw from their personal experience to craft their own narratives.
