INVITE: FREE, "Georgia and the Butch" Encore

Greetings!

First off, I want to apologize to the new followers of this blog for not posting when I said I would. I am recovering from a cross-country move and starting a new job and have spent every second of spare time working or trying to find...something...everything...anything. Moving can sure be exasperating!

Anyhow, January's free, online reading of "Georgia and the Butch" had over 600 registrants so the organizer has decided to do another!! Please join us Tuesday, March 7, at 5:30pm EST

This presentation, a dramatic reading of selected letters between Maria Chabot and Georgia O'Keeffe, produced by the Southwest Harbor Public Library, is created by award-winning writer and playwright, Carolyn Gage , who has been called "one of the best lesbian playwrights in America".

Carolyn and I virtually met through this blog and in our conversations she has provided me much perspective about Maria, her lived experience, and her relationships. I am honored that she has invited me to participate in this event and I am hoping I can answer questions or provide insight about the complicated, complex, and charismatic individual Maria was–and how/why her place in the historical narrative has largely been marginalized, mischaracterized, and even ignored entirely.

I hope to "see" you there!!
